Learning to Sit with Yourself - A 5 Week Meditation Foundations Series

Starts Tuesday Jan 20, 2026
6PM

Curious about meditation but not sure where to start? This 5-week series is designed specifically for beginners who want simple, supportive guidance without pressure to “do it right.” You don’t need to quiet your mind, sit for long periods, or have any prior experience. We’ll start small, build gradually on Tuesdays, over 5 weeks and focus on practices that actually fit into real life.

This Series meets on Tuesdays at 6PM for 5 weeks, Jan 20 - Feb 17.

Each week includes gentle breathwork, short guided meditation practices, discussion, and a take-home meditation workbook to support your home practice.

What to Expect Each Week:

  • Week 1: Learning to Be Still: Understand what meditation is (and isn’t) and experience success right away with very short sits.

  • Week 2: Working With the Breath: Learn how to use the breath as an anchor and a calming tool when the mind wanders.

  • Week 3: Sitting With Thoughts: Practice observing thoughts without fighting them and build comfort with mental activity.

  • Week 4: Deepening Focus & Compassion: Learn how to stay present when it feels uncomfortable and introduce self-compassion.

  • Week 5: Creating a Sustainable Home Practice: Build confidence, extend your sit time, and create a realistic meditation routine you can maintain.

This series emphasizes consistency over duration, welcomes wandering thoughts, and is rooted in the belief that one minute counts. Come as you are—restless mind and all.

Nature Immersion: A Winter Walk in the Woods

Saturday February 28, 2026
1-3PM

Slow down and step into the quiet beauty of winter with this guided forest bathing experience that invites reflection, connection, and warmth.

We’ll take an unhurried walk through the woods, pausing for gentle invitations along the way—including a five senses practice, a letting-go exercise, and a time for mindful reflection.

After each invitation, we’ll have the option to share our thoughts  on what we noticed, both within ourselves and in the landscape around us.

We’ll close our time together by warming up with hot tea, a light snack, and community conversation, leaving you feeling grounded, refreshed, and deeply connected to the season.

Dress for the weather with warm, flexible layers and comfortable shoes suitable for uneven and possibly muddy ground so you can stay comfortable and present throughout the walk.
