Wednesday March 20th is the first day of Spring (also known as the vernal equinox or spring equinox) for those in the northern hemisphere and this year spring is being welcomed in by a full super moon.
Some Fun Facts on the Spring Equinox and the Super Moon this year

The official start of spring is Wednesday March 20th with the equinox occurring at 5:58pm. This equinox marks one of two days a year where day and night are almost the same length. This always falls in spring on the 20th or 21st of March. (the other date is the Autumnal equinox on September 22nd.)

At 9:43 pm ET Wednesday night the moon will reach its full phase and due to the way the moon rotates around the earth it will appear 12% brighter and 14% larger than a normal full moon. We have not had a super moon on the equinox since the year 2000 so take advantage of this event and walk outside Wednesday night to see this super moon.
